More about this category
Ordinary jeans are not made to slide over tarmac and offer no protection. Motorcycle trousers have an abrasion-resistant outer fabric and armour at the knees, and often room for hip armour.
Motorcycle clothing is tested to EN 17092. The more A's in the class, the tougher the test for abrasion resistance and seams: A, AA or AAA. The Alpinestars Aeroshell Pants are certified to class A, suitable for city riding and shorter rides.
Check what comes fitted as standard. The Aeroshell comes with Nucleon Flex Plus Level 1 knee armour. You can replace it with Nucleon Flex Pro Level 2 knee armour, and there are pockets for Bio Flex hip armour. Both are sold separately.
Trousers with a mesh lining stay comfortable on warmer days too. The Aeroshell has a mesh lining from waist to knee, which also keeps the knee armour in place.
Try on motorcycle trousers in a seated position. The knee armour should stay on your knee and the legs should not ride up above your boots. Pre-shaped knees and stretch fabric help with this.
Many motorcycle trousers attach to your jacket with loops or a zip, so the jacket does not ride up in a fall. The Aeroshell Pants have elastic loops for compatible Alpinestars jackets, such as the Alpinestars Aeroshell WP Jacket. Browse all motorcycle jackets or the full range of motorcycle clothing. For your feet, take a look at motorcycle boots and riding shoes.
